When should I use a regular corrugated box?
Use conventional corrugated packaging when the item's weight, fragility, dimensions and transportation environment do not require a more structural outer container. For many routine parcel shipments, an ordinary carton is the appropriate and economical choice.
When should I consider a Kübox?
Consider Kübox when a shipment needs substantially more structure than an ordinary corrugated carton but does not inherently require traditional heavy-duty wood crating. Appropriate applications can include fragile, heavier, valuable, irregular or repeat shipments that remain compatible with the intended transportation network.
When should I use a wood crate?
Traditional wood crating may be appropriate for very heavy, oversized, palletized or specialized loads requiring rigid engineered construction, blocking and bracing, lifting points or freight-specific handling.
What kinds of industries can use Kübox?

Suitability depends on the individual shipment rather than the industry name alone.
Why can the same shipping crate work for artwork and aerospace equipment?
The contents are different, but transportation exposes both to many of the same physical forces, including impact, vibration, compression and movement. The outer container addresses those transportation forces while internal packing is selected for the specific item.
Can a stronger outer container reduce package size?
In appropriate applications, a more structural outer container can reduce reliance on excessive cushioning used primarily to compensate for less rigid packaging. Reducing unnecessary cushioning can result in smaller exterior package dimensions, less packaging material and potentially lower dimensional shipping weight.
Does Kübox eliminate the need for cushioning?
No. Kübox provides the structural outer container. The item still requires appropriate cushioning, centering, restraint and application-specific internal protection.

Yes. Kübox has undergone FedEx package testing with passing results under ISTA 1A, ISTA 3A, ISTA 3E and 6-FEDEX-A protocols, along with separate independent structural and transit testing.
