Does the instrument need a pallet?
Needing protective packaging does not automatically mean needing freight. Check the instrument's size with its internal protection included, then the container's exterior dimensions and total packed weight.
When the finished shipment meets the chosen parcel service's requirements and the packing is appropriate, parcel shipping may be an option. For equipment that needs pallet handling, evaluate a suitable freight arrangement.

2. Protect and secure it
Choose cushioning, supports and restraint suited to the instrument. Allow enough interior space for the complete packing arrangement.
3. Make receiving straightforward
Include unpacking instructions and an inventory. For returns, show how the instrument and reusable inserts fit back into the container.

Suitability depends on the specific instrument, its protected dimensions, weight and transport requirements. Confirm manufacturer instructions before choosing the packing arrangement.
How do I choose the right container size?
Measure the complete instrument, including feet, handles, connectors and other projections. Allow room for suitable cushioning, supports and restraint.
Interior dimensions determine fit. Assembled exterior dimensions and total packed weight determine carrier eligibility and affect pricing.
Compare standard sizes in inches and centimeters. If a standard size does not fit the protected instrument, explore a custom configuration.
Does Kübox replace the instrument's internal protection?
Kübox supplies the outer structure. The instrument still needs internal protection appropriate to its weight, shape and fragility.
Support the equipment at suitable load-bearing points. Protect glass, displays, controls, connectors and delicate assemblies without applying harmful pressure.
Parcel shipments may travel on any face. Prepare the packing arrangement for handling in different orientations.
What about calibration and sensitive mechanisms?
Follow the manufacturer's transport instructions for moving assemblies, transport locks and removable components.
Packaging does not guarantee that calibration will remain unchanged. Arrange any inspection, calibration or functional checks required before the equipment returns to use.
Include these requirements in the handoff to the receiving laboratory or service provider.
Can the same container be used for the return shipment?
Yes. Keep suitable internal supports with the container and include photographs or instructions showing the correct packing arrangement.
Ask the recipient to retain the container and packing materials. Inspect them before the return trip and replace damaged components.
If the replacement or returned instrument differs in size, weight or construction, reassess the packing before shipping.
What if it needs temperature or moisture control?
Kübox is an outer structural container. Temperature, moisture, cleanliness and electrostatic protection must be addressed separately when required by the equipment.
Confirm the instrument's environmental limits and use appropriate additional protection or a specialized transport service.
What if the equipment has been used with laboratory materials?
Before packing, have the responsible laboratory personnel confirm the equipment is prepared for transport and meets the receiving facility's acceptance requirements.
Identify any residues, fluids, batteries or other contents that may affect shipping. Confirm applicable preparation and acceptance requirements with the carrier and recipient. An outer container does not make restricted contents acceptable for shipment.
Can I use my own shipping account?
Yes. You can use your carrier or freight account to ship your purchased Kübox order to you. Contact us before checkout to arrange this.
Once the instrument is packed, you can also book its shipment directly using your chosen carrier account.
Delivery of your purchased containers and shipping your packed equipment are separate shipments.
What if the equipment needs freight?
Equipment that exceeds the selected parcel service's limits or needs pallet handling requires an appropriate freight arrangement.
Evaluate Freight Cube or a custom freight configuration for suitable loads, with appropriate support, restraint and pallet securement.
