Kübox Flat – Reusable Engineered Shipping Crate
Strong as a crate. Light as a box.
Premium protection without the premium price.
More protection for flat, fragile items. Kübox Flat is a reusable shipping crate for artwork, frames, mirrors, displays, technical panels and other valuable items that need a shallow container with suitable protection for their faces, edges and corners.
Choose by usable interior space. Include the full frame or item dimensions and allow room for cushioning, surface protection and restraint. Parcel eligibility depends on the assembled exterior dimensions, total packed weight, contents and your chosen carrier service.

Have your own shipping account? You can use your carrier account to ship your Kübox order to you. Contact us before checkout to arrange shipping on your account.
Heavy corrugated panels, laminated structural profiles, corner hubs and locking fasteners work together to create a protective outer container. Assembly requires no additional tools.
Add internal protection suited to your item, secure it against movement and close the container. When the finished package meets your selected parcel service's requirements, ship using that service's usual label and pickup process.
After delivery, the Flat can be reopened, reused or disassembled for storage. Inspect the container and its components before each shipment and replace damaged parts as needed.
Measure the complete item, including its frame, hardware and other projections. Allow room for protection on both faces and around all edges and corners.
Use surface protection compatible with the item's finish. Keep abrasive materials away from sensitive surfaces and avoid placing unsupported pressure on glazing, screens or delicate panels.
Restrain the item so it cannot shift inside the container. Multiple items need suitable separation and individual protection.
Parcel shipments may travel on any face. Pack for handling in different orientations, including a return trip when applicable.
A reusable container can simplify repeat shipments for exhibitions, displays, service programs and artwork returns.
Keep suitable internal protection with the container and provide clear repacking instructions. Label reusable inserts so the recipient can return them to the correct position.
Inspect the container and internal protection before each trip. Reassess the packing arrangement whenever the contents change.
Buying Kübox regularly? Businesses using around 100 units per month, managing repeat shipping programs or ordering recurring custom sizes may want to evaluate manufacturing under license.
A manufacturing license provides a path to produce approved Kübox components locally and assemble containers close to your operation, with required proprietary components supplied under the licensing agreement.
Compare purchasing finished containers with licensed production based on your sizes, volume, reuse, equipment, labor and location. The volume example is a starting point for discussion, not a minimum requirement or a guarantee of savings.
Get it fast: Orders received by noon CST are shipped the next day via FedEx Ground from Nashville.
Find the right size: Select a Kübox large enough to fit the wrapped items with at least 2-3 inches of cushioning material on all sides (bottom, top, and all four sides).
Kübox is shipped collapsed, like a 7-inch-high sandwich. Assembling is easy and requires no additional tools. Watch how-to videos here.
Place your Kübox on a flat surface.
After packing and securing your items inside the Kübox:
Packing fragile items correctly is crucial to ensure they arrive at their destination safely.
Parcel Handling
Parcels are handled like airline luggage — Kübox crates may be placed on any side.
Watch out for:
Cushioning
Items must not touch the crate walls directly.
Use bubble wrap, foam, or other cushioning so items “float” in the center of the crate.
Wrapping
Each item should be wrapped individually to prevent item-to-item damage.
