Need more protection than an ordinary shipping box? Kübox is a reusable engineered shipping crate for equipment, valuable parts, artwork and other items that need a stronger outer container.
Choose a standard size, add suitable internal protection and prepare your shipment. When the finished package meets your carrier's requirements, parcel shipping may be an option. Freight configurations are also available for suitable palletized loads.

Why deal with freight if you can ship it as a parcel?
Needing a crate does not automatically mean needing a pallet. A suitable Kübox and internal packing arrangement may let you use parcel shipping when the finished shipment meets the selected service's requirements.
When freight is the right fit, Kübox also offers reusable configurations that can replace wood crating for suitable loads.

How is Kübox different from an ordinary box?
Kübox uses multiple structural components working together. Heavy corrugated panels form the walls, laminated paper profiles reinforce the structure, and hubs and locking fasteners connect it.
The container assembles without additional tools and can be reopened, disassembled and reused. Damaged components can be replaced as needed.
Does a strong outer container replace cushioning?
The outer container and internal protection perform different jobs. Your item still needs suitable cushioning, supports and restraint.
The packing arrangement depends on the item's weight, shape, fragility and sensitivity to shock and vibration. Heavy loads need appropriate support and load distribution.
Sensitive electronics may also need appropriate anti-static or moisture protection. Follow the equipment manufacturer's transport requirements.
Can I buy a standard size for one shipment?
Yes. Standard Kübox containers are available individually. Start with the usable interior space your protected item needs.
A standard outer container may fit your application without a custom container project. The internal packing still needs to suit your contents. Custom sizes are available when standard sizes do not provide the required fit.
How do I know whether it can go by parcel?
Check the assembled exterior dimensions and total actual packed weight, including the container and all packing materials.
Carrier acceptance also depends on the contents, destination, packaging and selected service. Dimensional weight and additional handling charges can affect pricing even when a shipment falls within the service's size and weight limits.
When should I consider freight or wood crating?
Use an appropriate freight arrangement when the shipment exceeds parcel limits, requires pallet handling or has other requirements that make parcel unsuitable.
Kübox Freight Cube and custom configurations can be evaluated for suitable freight loads. Some applications still require wood crating or another specialized packing system.
What engineering and testing information is available?
Kübox testing has included ISTA 1A, ISTA 3A, ISTA 3E and 6-FEDEX-A protocols, along with compression, vibration, drop and impact evaluations.
Test results describe the specific configuration, load and conditions evaluated. They do not establish a universal payload rating for every Kübox size or guarantee the performance of every packing arrangement.
Can I use my own shipping account?
Yes. You can use your carrier or freight account to ship your purchased Kübox order to you. Contact us before checkout to arrange this.
Once your contents are packed, you can also book that shipment directly using your chosen carrier account. Delivery of your container order and shipping your packed contents are separate shipments.
Can I reuse it for returns and repeat shipments?
Yes. Keep suitable internal supports with the container and provide clear repacking instructions. Photographs and labeled inserts can help the recipient prepare a return shipment.
Inspect the container and internal protection before every trip. Replace damaged components and reassess the packing arrangement whenever the contents change.
Need protective containers every month?
Businesses using around 100 units per month, managing repeat shipping programs or ordering recurring custom sizes may want to evaluate manufacturing under a Kübox license.
A manufacturing license provides a path to produce approved components locally and assemble containers close to your operation, with required proprietary components supplied under the licensing agreement.
Compare purchasing finished containers with licensed production based on your sizes, volume, reuse, equipment, labor and location. The volume example is a starting point for discussion, not a minimum requirement or a guarantee of savings.
